You might think that you can never write a research paper in a week. Because you write very slowly, producing very few paragraphs a day. Well, I agree that if you don’t optimize your writing strategy, writing an entire article in a week would be difficult and impossible.
How to prepare before writing a 10-page article
Usually, writing a 10-page article in a short time is driven by the pressure of a deadline. Don’t give in to the urge to write immediately. Instead, allocate time to each part of the document. If you’re not fast, an hour per page should be enough.
Also, let your schedule tempt you to run fast, but be careful when you do. For example, you give yourself five hours to write the ten pages. So you need to spend 30 minutes doing your research. Also, you should spend some time on the introduction, subheadings, and conclusion. But the last hour will be editing and collecting your references.
Key points
- The literature review for the thesis should not exceed 20% of the duration of the project.
- For a thesis between 100 and 150 pages, the bibliographic review must have between 40 and 60 pages.
- A 5,000-word journal article should contain a literature review between 1,200 and 2,000 words in length.
- If you are working on a 25-page abstract project, keep the literature review section to 5-6 pages.
- An 8 page research article should not have more than 2 literature review pages

Determine your main theme
If prompted, your theme is clear. However, sometimes you have the freedom to choose the topic of your research. In this case, it is better to choose a topic that you already know. This saves prime time that would otherwise be spent on research. If you are not very attached to a particular topic, at least try to choose one that contains a lot of information.
Start looking for sources to cite to support your thesis or main argument. During your research, be sure to take notes. One of the best ways to do this is to use a word processor like Google Docs or Microsoft Word to copy and paste URLs. For each source, it would be best to copy and paste a key phrase that covers your topic.
Make a plan
As they say, not planning is not planning, and nowhere does that phrase make more sense than writing your essay.
Of course, writing an abstract takes time. But the good news is that you can recover this time later when you are writing and it will definitely allow you to write your essay much faster.
