Graphic Design
Since modern graphic design usually involves computers, it’s easy to assume that you’ll learn a lot of the math you need to get a degree in this area. However, graphic design majors tend to focus on building portfolios and internships rather than demonstrating mathematical acumen.
According to the BLS, the median salary for graphic designers in 2020 was $53,380 per year, or $25.66 per hour. These professionals create visual concepts to convey different ideas and typically work in publishing, public relations, advertising and specialty design services. For example, many companies have hired graphic designers who focus on marketing products and services through visual work.

Advanced Math Requirements for Certain Business Studies Programs
The previous math requirements are the same as the basic requirements for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration programs.
the level requires much more mathematics than the basic requirements.
For example, most advanced finance degrees require courses at the advanced level and beyond. Therefore, undergraduate students in this field may take advanced mathematics courses to fulfill their elective requirements. Even with hybrid courses such as B.A in Business Math, one should expect to take advanced math classes early in their studies. For most traditional degrees in business administration, accounting, human resource management, and economics, however, a basic knowledge of numeracy and statistics covers all mathematical requirements.
What kind of relationship did you have with the admissions officers of the other M7 programs? Have you shared any stories, trends, etc. ?
The admission teams for the M7 program met several times a year. Sometimes we’ve shared best practices, talked about new tools (usually related to applicant management), and discussed upcoming MBA outreach events. We definitely want to talk about the trends we see in the candidate pool (of course only in total, no names). On an ad hoc basis, we could always reach out to our colleagues if we wanted to network on anything.
It was definitely a little crazy! Although the number of applications exploded, the number of places in the classes remained the same, which made it more difficult to choose the classes. One of the things we considered when reviewing applications was whether candidates were applying because they had limited employment opportunities or because getting an MBA was a conscious part of their wider vision. Logistically, we also had to review more apps, so we had to manage our time wisely.
