# CFA card – ideal for finance
CFA card is the qualification if you want to build a successful career in wealth management, private wealth management, equity research or rating advisors at financial institutions.
In these sectors, an MBA will not have the same value as a CFA card. The CFA card will also be an asset in all other financial services as well as additional recognition outside of financial services as well, especially in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Comparison between CA and MBA
CA is one of the most reputable certifications in India. Despite the recent emergence of many short-term diploma certifications in accounting and finance, CA certification is gaining more and more weight in professional roles.
- CAs can start working independently after gaining experience or working for reputable CA firms and global companies. Additionally, due to its broad scope, CA graduates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of fields. Graduates can work in accounting and accounting firms, financial analysis banks, tax firms and other fields.
- Graduates have the freedom to choose and work from a multitude of options. Almost every business needs an accounting and finance unit and CA graduates are always needed to keep them running smoothly.
- During section training, graduates can gain experience in auditing, tax, cost accounting and finance. This broadens their reach and increases the likelihood of them landing investment banking jobs.
- An MBA would take about two years, while a CFA course would take an average of 2-3 years for all three levels.
- The pass rate for the first year of MBA is around 95%, but for the second year it is around 90%. For the CFA, the average pass rate for Level I is 43%. For Level II, the average pass rate is around 40%, where there was a significant increase to 55% for 20% attempts. December.I for level III, the pass rate is constantly stable and higher than the first two levels.
- For CFA, the focus area is investment instruments, asset pricing, derivatives, portfolio management and wealth management. Similarly, in the case of an MBA, the focus is not on anything in particular. Topics covered are finance, marketing, human resources, IT, international business and operations management.
Finally, isn’t there an ideal answer which is better CFA or MBA? If a candidate is already in the field of investment management in the financial industry, it is recommended that they undertake the CFA course as a career option for further promotion. Likewise, if a candidate is interested in networking and wants to add a wide range of skills, choosing an MBA is a wise move.
