According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, the median annual wage for registered nurses in 2020 was $75,330, or $36.22 per hour. Nursing jobs are plentiful, but most employers these days prefer applicants with a college degree. Although you can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or ADN, to become a registered nurse, the most practical route is to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or BSN.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree involves completing a four-year undergraduate degree. In most cases, you’ll need two or three years of high school math to qualify, and you can expect to take at least one college-level algebra course. Otherwise, your studies will involve two years of general education requirements followed by two years of nursing courses and clinical rotations.

What did you like the most in the evaluation of the candidates and you in HBS Admissions?
I’ve had the privilege of meeting the brightest and most diverse people around the world, doing things I could never have imagined. I discovered new cultures, passions and professions and met people that I would probably never have met in other circumstances.
Candidates were almost always dedicated, hardworking and dedicated to everything they undertook. I had the right to look “inside” people’s lives – the challenges and the triumphs. I have often been amazed not only by what people have accomplished, but also by what they have overcome.
